: I slept with Steve Bennet
I feel like I have a hangover. I need sleep. Ugh.........*head drops on keyboard* It was the most wonderful time of my life. My forst ANime con....*sparkle* and Im no longer a cosplay virign. I was Reika and it was beautiful. *sneezes* I was really worried it would turn out bad becuase of my mothers attitude..."This might not even fit, you know" sort of thing. But it was wonderful! Even if my shoes were light up flip flops from walmart. *shrugs* I just couldnt get the cloth to fit over the other shoes.
Anyways, right after I got home from school friday I popped into the shower (after checking to see how my mom was getting along with my dress) and got all my stuff together. This took about 4 hours. Yeah, I'm slow. *blinks* But aaaaaanyway, it took forever and ever for Jackie and her parents to finally come and pick me uuuup..I couldnt wait. I was like "Why aren't they here yet oh noe I think I forgot something and I need to brush my hair and blaah blahh" I ended up forgetting a ton o__@ I had to borrow a bunch of stuff from Jackie. But yeah. Mom hadn't finished my costume so she was going to bring it to Jackie's the next morning....and I got about 30 bucks spending money. w00t. We got some popcorn chicken and ate it while watching uh......chalk zone I think. Yeah. And then we went into Jackies room and messed around....doing, uhh.....*blinks* Catching up. Yeah. That'll work. Anyways, we went to bed late and got up around 9 I think.. and since my Mom was late we decided to meet her at Ramada Inn so she wouldn't have to drive so far. I ended up getting changed in the van. While I was pulling my pants off I saw a girl dressed up as Ed from Full Metal Alchemist and went insane. She was PERFECT. The only thing she didn't have was the "grrrrrrrr, dammit" look he always seems to have...at least in the pictures I look at. The grownups fiddled around with my bow for a while and took pictures, and Jackie shoved my money and cell phone in her bag and and we went inside. We registered, it was 30 bucks ofr Saturday, and went straight ot the table outside the dealers room and started looting the free stuff. I picked up a poster of Dead Leaves...personally the "heroine" person from it hurts my eyes..I never cared to learn her name but...its free, I guess. I prolly wont hang it up, but maybe....o.O The we went into the Dealers Room and like WOAH. It was most likely one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Except for that guy dressed as Sephy. Uhhuh. We wandered around but couldn't decide whatn to buy so we left and went outside and peeped at the Prince of Tennis tournament....but it was hot and the sun hurt our eyes so we went back in and listened to Jan Fraizure talk about fighting black cobras and pleasing the snake god while our eyes healed. Then...I cant remember what order it went in. Maybe we watched World of Narue next....it was really wierd. o.O At first it seemed like a "typical" anime taken waaaaay out of proportion to the point that it seemed like it would be making fun of anime...but it was....oh. It was like when someone tells you something thats so outrageous that they must know its not true, but they do it with a totally serious face, like they really believe it. Blaaah, Im not making sense, I guess theres really no way to describe it. The end was hilarious tho. With the panty shot. In space. Maical. Truly. We didn't stick around for the next episode. I don't remember what we did next. Prolly hung out at the dealers room for a while. It was becoming a favorite place. Or maybe thats when we actually went and bought some stuff. I dunno. It mightve been the time when some lady was taking pictures, so she said "Okay, all the cute cosplaying Girls come over here!" And some guy had a video camera, and got a pan of us saying "I Slept with Steve Bennet!" Jackie was in it too cuz she was cosplaying as Jackie :D And in case your wondering, Steve Bennet voiced Stan from Hamtaro....my favorite Ham-Ham!! *whee* He was doing commissions and the like....behind this table...later he talked about being an animator, and how he had to draw this dude he absolutely hated a million trillion times, and it was funny. And Steve would say stuff, and the people would obey. And Steve would be pleased.
We went and watched Cosplay dodgeball..it was schoo funnay. All these people in costumes runnung around throowing a ball at eachother. Thats when our mothers came by and checked up on us and gave us more money...or at least me. 7 whole dollars. But Im not complaining. And watched some of this wierd live-action film...it was really confusing, but really funny. And we mingled and bought stuff and chewed on Pocky that Jackie bought and all that good stuff....very few people actually knew who I was dressed up as without me telling....most of the people there hadn't seen RahXephon, but the ones that did went all "WOOOOOOOO" and took my picture XDDDDD I was like YAY! Nobody's ever really wanted to take my picture because of how I look before! And during Artists Alley (we lerned the chick dressed up as Ed was actually a member of HAAS) they called all the cosplayers to get a group shot...and we posed for at least 20 cameras and I prolly looked stupid because I was all uncomfy and there was this girl dressed up as Mia! From .Hack. It mustve been a hard costume to make. I was in awe. And we watched the AMV cometetion and voted for our favorites, and Jackie recorded a bit of some of them...the first minute for so. I really hope the Cherry Lips one with Gravitation wins...it was wonderful. Oh, and I found out that the girl dressed as Kairi was actually the girl from when I went to williams...it took me hours to figure out....I was think, man, she looks like...no, couldnt be. But I dodnt really like her too much then, she was so...I dunno, anime immature? Im not sure how to describe it. I mean, she got bored one day so she started coloring her Sailor Moon manga. I was horrified. She seems much better now, tho. By then I was wearing Jackies Lain hat in the DDR tournament....I wasnt in it, mind you, I watched. That Lee guy was A-maz-ing. Sugooooooi. He was dancing Afrenova on Maniac and only missed like, 5 steps. But the chick that was dressed as Rikku won. She changed out early, tho, and didnt get back in. Then we went and did other stuff and left halfway thriugh the cosplay contest....we thought the lady was introducing the next contestant but she said "Liz and Jackie.." and we were like WTF?!? but then she said "...your mother is waiting for you at the front desk" and everyone in the room went "awwwwwwwwwwww!! *heart heart*" and Jackie was like "..oh..ugh......lets...sneak out slowly" but the gril in front of us with the tinkerbell tatoo and the red rhinestine collar said "Too late, youv'e been spotted (muah ha ha) and I was like "=_=" and we get up slowly to leave and Daniel comes charging down the isle and locks me in a bear hug and goes "Bai baaaaaai!" and the whole places starts chorusing "Bye!" and the guy that went on and on about RahXephon when he figured out who i was dressed as (he advised me to stop watching at episode 19 because it got wierd like eva and it pissed him off o.O) said he like my costume and it was all very funny. i thought it was a wonderful goodbye, apart from being slightly embarrassing. And then we went back to Jackies house and stayed up till about 6 in the morning doing various things like playing DDR and messinf around online and the like and then we went to sleep and I slept till 2 and jackie woke me up by going "boo" really lightly in my ear and I jerked awake and we laughed. And a bunch of other stuff happend but my head hurts and Im getting tired of typing so I squised it all down and maybe Ill describe the cosplay skits later and it was a wonderful time! Apart from being sooo tired. i fell asleep 2 classes in a row. o.O Josh was like " are you okay" a million times. He sadi I looked depressed. I dodnt have enough damn sleep, is all. But yeah. Oh, and we started skinning pigs in biology. it was horrible; I was practically crying the entire period while scraping the muscle from the skin. The pig Ardemise chose had its tounge sticking out just like Ike always has his. *sighs* Im gonna have dreams of cutting Caio up. *shivers* well, i must leave now. I hope Jackie can make a layout fom that picture o.O
I didnt have any money so I couldnt get any ice cream from the ice cream truck so now Im pissed. Rar.
